Terms of Service

Kaufig provides software for selling: online storefronts, a merchant dashboard, an AI selling assistant, a point-of-sale register, and related tools. We provide the software — you are responsible for the business you run on it.

You must give accurate registration details and keep them current. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised. You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter contracts.

You may not use Kaufig to sell anything illegal under Nigerian law, to defraud or mislead buyers, to infringe someone else's intellectual property, to send unsolicited bulk messages, or to attack, overload or reverse-engineer the platform. Automated access outside our documented API is not permitted.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these rules, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us.

You are the seller of record for everything you sell through Kaufig. That means you are responsible for your product descriptions and pricing, fulfilling orders, honouring your own refund and returns policy, handling customer complaints, and meeting your tax obligations. You are also responsible for how you handle your customers' personal data.

Subscription fees and credit prices are shown before you buy and are charged in advance. Payments are processed by licensed third-party providers, and their terms apply to the payment itself.

Money collected from your buyers through our integrated payment providers is settled to you according to the applicable payout schedule, less any fees disclosed at the time. Sales you record manually or collect in cash are not processed by us and are not settled by us — they are recorded for your bookkeeping only.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time and retain access for the remainder of the paid period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where Nigerian law requires otherwise.

You keep ownership of your products, images, text, customer records and everything else you put into Kaufig. You grant us the limited licence needed to host, process and display it in order to run the service for you. You confirm you have the right to use the content you upload.

You can export your data while your account is active. After closure we retain it only as long as our Privacy Policy and the law require.

Kaufig's assistant generates replies and suggestions automatically. It is a tool to help you sell, not a guarantee — output can be wrong, and you remain responsible for what is communicated to your customers under your business name. Review anything that matters before relying on it.

We work to keep Kaufig available and reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may carry out maintenance, change features, or discontinue parts of the service — where a change materially reduces functionality you rely on, we will give reasonable notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kaufig is provided “as is”. We are not liable for lost profits, lost sales, lost data or indirect losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if continuing would create risk for other users. On termination your right to use the service stops immediately.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction over any dispute. We would always rather resolve things directly first — contact us before escalating.
